Ten Principles of Good Leadership

by Lenora Murdock

Leadership is second nature for some people. Others learn principles of leadership through education and try to apply their knowledge in the world of work. Some learn the principles of leadership in the school of hard knocks. Learning leadership can be a difficult process, but the benefits of the knowledge gained can never be lost when leadership knowledge has been hard won.

I've learned leadership each of the three ways. Often, I learned things in books, written by experienced leaders, but chose to try things my own way. When I failed I realized the wisdom of those who have led before. Trying new leadership styles is not always a bad thing; innovation always comes about because of innovation and thoughtful change.

There are, however, some indisputable facts that no good leader should overlook. A compendium of leadership skills would take volumes. However, below are ten principles that a good leader should not ignore.

Leadership Principle: #1: Be prepared.

Regardless of the task or role set before you it is your job as leader to be prepared. That means learning as much as possible about your department, your role in the organization, and the expectations of your superiors.

Law of Attraction: 10 Tips for Being Prosperous

A prosperous life doesn’t mean having a lot of money only. If you want to be truly prosperous, you have to transform your mind set in a major way. You have to think about abundance rather than thinking about lack of it. You have to shift a lot of levels higher in all spheres of your life.

The following 10 tips will help you do that:

Tip 1 – Indulge in your passion
When you indulge in things that you are passionate about, you will feel happy and satisfied. When you feel happy, you emit positive vibrations and hence attract things that are of the same frequency as yours. Hence start investing time in things that you really love doing. It could be a hobby now, try to make a living out of it.

Tip 2 - Affirm You Always Have More Than Enough
The more you pay attention to lack of things in your life, the more you will attract it. You can stop this by telling yourself that you have enough of what you need. The more you believe in this, the more you will see the change in the environment surrounding you.

(Article extracted fom a workshop & book called

DO YOU BELIEVE IN YOU - BY Dieter Luske )

This and all following articles, are written as workshop manuscript...

Mind - ManagementCover - Do you believe in you

Mind-management (MM) - management of your mind will be simple, once you know how to use YOUR MIND EFFECTIVLY.

Mind-management is made up of two words, mind & management.

The combination of mind and management spells awareness and success.
If, for a moment we can believe that 100% MM is possible, then the outcome must be 100% success.

Now look at yourself, and find out how much MM you have already!

To help that process we will look at some of our mis-management habits!

  1. If you worry a lot, would that be good MM? NO!
  2. If you have self doubt, would that be good MM? NO!
  3. If you have emotions, which are stopping you from doing things you would like to do; - good MM? NO!
  4. What if you regret, blame, judge, feel guilty, and so on -good MM? NO!

Now ask yourself, how well are you managing your mind, and answer yourself in percentage terms. How much?

If you manage your mind 50%, very good - now you know that your success rate would also be 50%. That's how successful you are! Is that enough success for you?
